Barb Curry & Doogal

This is the story of Doogal, an adorable treat-loving Border Collie who goes on a mission to save the Curry-Mullin household, and anyone he comes into contact with. Doogal turned this family upside down with his mysterious legendary special powers - love, companionship and his desire to work! Seriously, Doogal Curry-Mullin was born Oct 5, 2005 and joined his family in February of 2006 from an animal rescue shelter in the Hampton area. The children named the new fun loving pet - Doogal after the animated movie. Although he has not shown an interest of saving the world with precious diamonds, he is there and enjoys being outside, going for long walks, and playing with the kids. In June of 2006, Doogal's handler, Barb, watched FAST demonstrate Agility at the 2006 Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life in Saint John, NB. She was mesmerized by the dogs, their handlers, their ability, and the synchronization of the demonstration.

Barb immediately thought... Doogal would eat this up. Then the waiting game... as Doogal was too young to particpate immediately. But in February of 2007, Doogal was over the moon when Barb took him to his first Agility class. Doogal worked hard at each class and practiced hard between classes at home. Although he loves to work, both Barb and Doogal still have a lot to learn, but enjoy the quality time they get to spend together learning. The story starts up again, with .... Joining Doogal on his big quest are all his pals at FAST, they travel all over the arena, train in wide open fields, spend plenty of time in the barn, visit a church or two, and demonstrates his talent in many school yards. This year Doogal will compete in 5 Agility Trials, two hosted by FAST and three others, yet to be determined. This is a perilous journey of a lifetime, and along the way, eveyone learns that the most special powers of all is friendship - which no one can destroy! BACK
