Heather Dixon & Jessie

Jessie arrived into this big world on January 25/07. We were notified by phone as we lived in NS and she was born in NB. The pups were all described to us...one was to have different Border Collie markings so that is the one we took. After visiting the breeder weekly to take photos, to play and bond with Jessie we brought her home. Mom and Dad (Heather and Terry) were so proud and sisters Jayme and Karli were excited beyond belief. After visiting a mall in Sussex we spotted a woman Terry thought to be Allyson Mitton, so we waiting for her to finish shopping and then we approached her. She came to meet Jessie, our timid baby. She was armed with a clicker and I had the treats so Jessie was on her way with clicker training. It was unbelieveable to watch Allyson, she had Jessie responding to her within minutes. Allyson gave me her clicker that day and we worked with Jessie until we started classes in the Fall of 07.

Jessie is a beautiful, inteligent and keen Border Collie. She lacked confidence and was very timid. With classes, patience, love, encouragement and instruction from FAST members Jessie is slowly coming into her own. Our only canine family member is Jessie but she is one of many four legged members. We also have 3 cats, 2 rats, 1 rabbit, 1 horse and 7 Hereford cows. We love them all. Jessie and her Mom joined FAST in 2008. Other family members are keen to join also. Jessie 's Dad is often found in the shop making equipment for Jess to play on. Jessie is an amazing dog. We are enjoying being a part of the FAST family and watching Jessie blossom. We look forward to our continued journey and perhaps someday we will have the confidence to compete. Until then we will continue having fun, learning where we can and help out with FAST as much as possible.
