Santanna Hourihan & Sprint
Sprint came into the family specifically for agility. Santanna had seen the sport many times on the show "Top Dogs" and thought that it looked outrageously fun! As the families first dog, Schooner, was too old to train, she convinced her parents to allow her to get another dog.
The first class that Sprint attended was a memorable one! It was in a group setting and Sprint was timid around other dogs. The team was tucked away in a far corner of the riding arena, away from everyone else just so Sprint would concentrate on Santanna.

Sprint and I are happy to inform everyone that after our first year we aren't in a corner by ourselves anymore! With the help of other F.A.S.T. dogs, Sprint is stepping out into the light and is socializing with other dogs and not just smiling at them! However we still have a ways to go before she is completely comfortable.
Also I am proud to inform you that Sprint and I are working well as a team and are in the Advanced level in every game except Steeplechase and that we are in Masters level for Gamblers!
As you can guess by thiis fact, Sprint is proving to be a dog that is addicted to gambling and because of this we managed to gather enough points to go to the 2008 Nationals. It was a rewarding experience and I'm extremely proud of my little blue-eyed wonder!! With some work I am hoping to qualify again this year!
Looking at Sprint now you'd never know the problem had been so bad. Sprint has come so far in so little time. After some time of working under the gentle guidance of her leader and best friend Santanna, Sprint is now confident enough to works off leash, in a large group setting and she has only agility and her mom on her mind!
Be on the lookout for this dynamic duo as they take to the field. These Juniors are our future and one of many of FAST's rising stars!
