Christmas 2009 was the best. The four month old Nova Scotia Duck Toller with the BIG red bow was Miranda's future agility dog and the best Christmas present ever!
Miranda has been interested in dog agility since grade three when she chose agility as a topic for a writing assignment. Jasmine, the family's elderly boarder collie cross, patiently jumped through the hoola-hoop, over sticks and downed on the picnic table. This fuelled Miranada's passion and her persistence finally worn her parents down. It took four years, but she finally had dog to work with.
She and Seamus began Foundation classes in January 2010 and finished Advanced Handling in March 2011. Seamus is a little timid, but has great focus and he loves to do “dumb dog” tricks. Training a puppy has not always been easy; but with determination, patience and the help of FAST members, like Kathy (thank you), Miranda and Seamus are ready for the next step.
This young team is looking forward to going to a couple trials this year, but their big goal is simply to have fun!
