Kathy Vanderbeck & Tucker

Tucker a sable Sheltie came to the Vanderbecks from a wonderful local breeder.  Not knowing anything about agility except Shelties are known to excel in it, Kathy promptly sent an e-mail to FAST about their next beginner course and they began their journey in January 2007.Kathy was looking for a way to have fun with Tucker and exercise his mind.

Once this bundle of energy started his habit of swallowing baby socks, his mom knew he was going to need more than just regular exercise. In the past several months since beginning their agility courses Tuckers habit has became a thing of the past, but he is not beyond having a good chew on something of his “moms” left lying about should he need to get the point across that he is bored.  Early on in his puppy days Tucker has had the misfortune of being attacked by 2 different dogs while on walks with his mom and it has made him rather timid,  however his time spent with his new FAST family is showing him that he can have friends and he is coming out of his shell.

When not practicing on the equipment his dad made Tucker is happy to play in any water that can be found and pick a play fight with his best friend Jelly the house cat.

The family is looking forward to many years of fun together and are so grateful to have found such a great place to have fun!
